Wow, I'm gonna blame it on the time when I wrote it. You can see for yourself when I did.

Xytox wrote:I'm still gonna say you're good. Sure, a flaw here or there like 3MOA mentioned, but nothing that is NOT easily fixed and prevented in future drawings. No one can do anything perfect, just better.
And I'm pretty sure I intended on typing down "God", not "good". Sorry I confused you!

Ah, well, in that case, thanks alot. :D
And you did write "God" though i thought this was a typo aswell so i changed it. The image looked a little better with the background done though, also tried to fix some of the things 3MOA mentioned but this proved difficult as it interfered with a bunch of things. I'll just think about it in the future instead. Got a week off school coming up soon so i'm probobly gonna be drawing a whole lot then.

Nice drawings, 3MOA! I really like the facepalms and the one of Midna chillin' in front of the Mirror.
I have to admit, although I've seen this topic pop up in the new posts, I haven't got around to looking until now. Really good stuff ;)

It's been a looong time since I posted anything new in here and I admit, I kind of forgot about this thread. :| regardless, here is my newest stuff.

Revision to old image. tried to do a better job wth the background.

The first 2 drawings are relatively old, the "tactical Midna" is around a week old, and the mirror chamber one is around twice that I'd say. The gimp image was finished about 20 minutes ago. It's my first time doing anything with this program so this is more like a test than anything. this program is a godsend But I liked the way it turned out, so I'll post it anyway. I would have done a better job with the lighting on the fused shadow, but I screwed up the layers so I would have had to re-do all the lines on the right side, and I'm NOT willing to do that!
There are no stupid questions, but the ones with the word "best" in them come pretty close.

Nice to see some new stuff from you. I had already seen the 2 first ones at DeviantART but i hadn't seen the third and i'm pretty damn impressed with how it looks. The lightning and shading is absolutley fantastic.
Great job. :)

I simply love the first one of those three. I don't know why, but whenever I see Midna hold a weapon, a little bit of me just wants to join her and kill the world by her side. Not to mention how I love the idea of having the Forest Temple in the background. The only critique that I can give you, is that if you look under the eye of the Fused Shadow, the Fused Shadow itself just cuts off in a straight line. It's supposed to be a little bit rounder if you know what I mean. You did that in the third picture though, so I guess you already know that. Any reason for doing the Fused Shadow sometimes mirrored and sometimes not? I noticed it's reverted in the third picture, or normal. I actually don't remember which one is the Gamecube version Midna.

Ok just one thing: not to brag or anything but I used to be extremly good at drawing. Once I drew a couple of times I memorized it and was able to draw it from memory. Although I haven't picked up a pencil and paper in 6 years. I am just getting back into it. It might take about a couple of weeks in order post any thing on midna. 3D part of the drawing is hard to capture, but I hope to be as good as I was back then as I am now. Once I can come up with some inspiration and able to do some 3D stuff, I'll post.

I am friendship, I am the sky, I am Rainbow Dash

the manga in the Hyrule historia makes some sense, but all in all I was confused.

Maybe there's a way for light and shadow to mix

With all this art of Midna, I want to make art too. But I´m not sure because I´m not very good on drawing

Just believe that you can do it. If you feel like you really want to do it then do it, remember we all started some where. ^_^

Best temple in the series IMO.

I just noticed that about the fused shadow too. I have just been having a tough time getting it memorized. As for the "mirroring", It depends on the stance really. with the 3rd one, if I covered up her (from midna's perspective) left eye, than her right eye would be barely visible and I thought it would have looked kinda weird.

trust me, drawing is very enjoyable and when you produce something that you think looks good, its pretty damn satisfactory. I left some tips on this thread at the end of page one and the top of page 2 if you want t give it a shot, and like SMF said; just believe in yourself and be persistent. Look at the stuff I made on page 1. I used to think that was pretty good, but now I look at it and say: what a piece of S*** I know these still aren't that good, but I'm nonetheless proud of myself for the progress I have made in the short time I've been doing this.

just putting this out there; now that I have no classes for a week, I MAY try doing a simple motion picture. It's just a thought now but I might give it a shot.
