Favorite Zelda Race

I'm probably making a mistake by including the Twili on this list. Ah, well. Which species in Zelda lore is your favorite? Mine just so happens to be the Twili. Even setting Midna aside, the mythology behind this race is incredibly fascinating. While seeing another game involving the Twili is what we're all here for, a future Zelda title that features the Dark Interlopers that preceded them could also be fantastic!

I had a hard time deciding between the Shekaih and the Twili. I guess I have no really reason for why I picked it. Just thought they were kinda cool cause, ya know, I love ninjas.

I'm having a really hard time comprehending how the Sheikah can be a race, especially since Zelda dresses up and claims to be one of them. Talk about major race changing. But okay.

Kokiri, easily. I mean, what's better than living with your friends and being young forever, being one of the only people who knows how to go through a mushroom forest, and talking with an enormous and wise tree? I could totally imagine myself living in Kokiri Forest.

I have to say the Twili, if only because they're so mysterious. Where did they come from? What's their world like? Why do some look more human than others? Lots of tantalizing, unanswered questions that leave interpretation open to us fans. Plus, of course, our favorite member of royalty is from them, too. That doesn't hurt.

The Gerudo are probably my second favorite, for similar reasons. One of the things about Zelda's races that I like which is different from more traditional fantasy ventures like The Elder Scrolls is that the tribes are so unique. Rock people? Humanoid fishes? Talking plants? Epic. The Amazon motif that the Gerudo have going on is very cool as well, not to mention, it adds some much needed diversity to the relatively melanin-challenged offerings the others have going on...
