I don't suppose that there's anyone else around WMB who's looking forward to this game, is there?

Despite the identity crisis that this series seems to be facing,
Resident Evil 6 is looking to be a terrific addition to the
action genre. The demo, especially, has convinced me to initially play through the full game on co-op mode (which has already provided a handful of memorable moments).

Well, after Castlevania LOS, I've decided to not really care about identity crises, if it's a good game, it's a good game. Speaking of which, upon some research, it certainly looks like a good game! I suppose I'd have to play the previous 5 beforehand, but screw it, a whole series to add to the list then.

I managed to complete this game a couple o' weeks ago. Despite abandoning the series' survival-horror roots, it's a terrific action title that provides a ton of oh-my-god-did-you-just-see-that moments. Occasionally, the clunky controls will result in an annoyingly unfair death, and the script isn't anything to write home about. Overall, though, I had a blast with RE6.

Sweet, I guess some sequels don't need to follow the exact style of previous games, and if RE6's deviation from survival-horror came out fine, then there's no reason to raise objections to it. I've had fair enough experience with clunky controls and unfair deaths (Harmony of Dissonance and Syobon Action) so that's not really a huge issue; was the storyline any good? That's one issue that severely lowers my opinion of a game, even if everything is great, if it has a bad storyline, the game is not worth my time.
