What would you say about this...
Did you ever think that maybe some of the assassinations of our late world
were government sanctioned? Maybe Politics of some sort wanted their opposition to be
the loser, and went about it via assassination. There have been way to many "So and so has been killed as the result of a car accident/sickness/etc." for my liking. I believe there may be bribes
involved, as sometimes it seems obvious.
Maybe some assassinations of old were supposedly said to be ordered to the killer by god,
so from a certain point of view, it's legal. But the question is should/shouldn't they have been
believed or not.
What do you think?

This is starting to sound a bit like the Illuminati... I personally don't believe that would be so... There are a lot of deaths by car accidents and the like, but really I don't find them surprising at this day and age... People rarely even use crosswalks anymore let alone pay attention and simply stroll across the street like it's a nature stroll... Others simply don't/won't take care of themselves, and end up eating unhealthy or just flat out making bad choices. I don't doubt that there were assassinations "done in the name of god", but I could just as easily say that I typed this message because a little bird told me too... I'm not 100% sure of what your asking when you ask "should/shouldn't they have been believed or not?" If your referring to god telling them to kill someone I'm going to stay on the fence... it seems like a natural order of things for mankind and who can say for certain if the death of certain individuals was for a brighter future or no? I don't believe god told them, but I do think they may have misunderstood things at times as a message from him/her... If your asking if we should believe the deaths are real and not weaved by the government, I'll say no for the most part... I'm willing to bet that most of the deaths are by the causes listed, but I don't think it's impossible (though unlikely especially in this day and age...) for the government to pull off an operation like that...

Assassination is a very complex subject in of itself to be honest. It can be something done politically, or done by someone who is unhinged mentally. Also, most "God told me to do it" people fall under the unhinged category, or are looking for an excuse for their actions. Also, revealing whether or not someone has been assassinated can be very politically motivated. A couple of good books I remember reading on assassination were written by an author named David L. Robbins did a fictional count of two assassination attempts on two important figures in history. The first, The Assassins Gallery, does a fictional count of an assassination attempt on President Franklin D. Roosevelt; while the second book, The Betrayal Game, does a very intriguing account of an assassination attempt of Fidel Castro. These books do a very good job on explaining how an assassin works, the types of assassins, and the ultimate method of dispatching a target, all while making a very good read of fiction.

Assassination is something, sadly, that will be around for as long as humanity exists. Or, at least, until every government on the planet merges into a singular entity...probably not possible, but even then, I'd think killing off of local politicians would still occur. I don't think that there's necessarily been an increase in assassinations per se as the perceived awareness of them by the populace. With this knowledge, as with anything else, people can look back and say, 'Well, this proves that group X was actually doing Y!'
Occam's Razor is important to keep in mind for things like this topic. I'm not doubting that the governments of the world have, at various times in their history, done this either openly or not (the United States and Fidel Castro come to mind, for example). It's sort of a black mark that almost every nation possesses. I find it doubtful, however, that there's been an increase in doing so.
