Same here. Honestly, it feels like it's been ages since I last revisited that game (though, in reality, I finished a playthrough just before SS was released xD)
I can't stress enough how impressed I am with all of the material that's already being put together. Thanks a ton, you three.
Also, I know that I'm late to the party, but welcome back onboard, Flib ad Kylethedarkn! Seeing old members like you two return is, seriously, the coolest thing ever. The only thing that would make this project better is if we could get Zoku involved, too.
And you should totally make one, WYNR. Based on that first track of yours, this project could use your awesomeness.
Alright, I should probably link to a track I've been working on for this project. "Working on" being the operative word, as it's been left sitting uncompleted on my HD for what feels like an eternity.
PLEASE NOTE: from the title this may appear to be a remix, or cover, of a Zelda track. However it's actually more of an homage, my own take on a dungeon theme, and is thus a completely original piece. I contemplated leaving this note out entirely, just to see you all desperately trying to place the track somewhere in the game's universe. XD
This is very much a work in progress, so please bear that in mind.
You know that feeling you get entering a dungeon/temple for the first time as the door closes behind you, just before the music kicks in? I loved that, so it served as a pretty decent inspiration for me.
Well, I know what I'll be playing on loop for the next hour or so. xD This track definitely feels appropriate for a Zelda dungeon. Perhaps a forest-themed one, specifically. Excellent stuff, Flib.
Aside from this track, are there any other ideas [for tracks] that you have for this project? Because the world would be a better place if you did.
This is more of a low-key affair, and very minimalist which is a style I happen to like a great deal (the entire piece is based around one repeating pattern).
Now that I've got two concrete ideas down, that should give me plenty of free room to finish them up.
Lovin' it. Honestly, I find that this piece sounds even more appropriate for a forest-themed Zelda dungeon! xD Thanks a ton for coming back to do this; I'm extremely excited to hear the finished product.
