StarFox

Hey, old-timer! This is for the discussion of all video game-related topics, excluding those from this current generation of consoles.

I actually was gonna start my own thread on starfox, but I found this. I love starfox, especially assault. I'm ordering assault and adventures. Anyone a member of this site: sartfox-online.net? If so please tell me. In assault did u like the ground or air missions the best?

the manga in the Hyrule historia makes some sense, but all in all I was confused.

Maybe there's a way for light and shadow to mix

I love Starfox... I even got a working rom of Starfox 2 and beat it...
I hope the rumors of a Wii-U Starfox are true...
Assault was quite the flawed game... the only thing I liked about it was Multiplayer...

I agree with you 110%. I do hope they come out with one for a Wii u. But then again I would have to get a lot of money.

Assault is a great game. Yeah the multiplayer was fun.
Adventures was the strangest twist on a series I have ever seen... I like to call that game "The Legend of Star Fox: Adventures of Time"

The question is why I've never played this series before. I thought about picking it up, but quickly changed my mind afterwards as it just doesn't appeal to me that much.

I don't know why I have never played any of the games in the series, but at the same time I have no idea why I should. It's time to convince me, people.

 Good one. And agree that that game was one of weirdest games I've played. But I did like the plot.

Pah... Assault was trash compared to the legends that are 64 and the original... Alternate routes with a changing story... Fun, fast gameplay that became harder as you began to master the game... Not to mention the levels... I'd even say that Star Fox 2 was better... and it has no story to it... just fun... Assault felt soulless in terms of gameplay and was a tad too easy for me (Yes I did beat it at hardest difficulty AND got all the flags)... and the story was O.K... it felt more like a spin-off than an actual part of the series to me...

I consider StarFox 64 a game you can beat in like 30mins. Honestly it was ok but, only had sufficient work in there for minimal amounts of difficulty. Personally I think Either SFAd or Starfox command were interesting. I love SF64 don't get me wrong, I just never really followed the plot to much. The only time I paid attention to the plot was the first time I played it. Don't hate me. Also SF64 was my first game to "stop working".

Then you played it wrong... 30 min. is about the length of time it takes to get to the "common" ending...
Which means you missed a lot of the stuff that made that game shine...
Star Fox Command had the story going for it... but the game itself, while not bad, became tedious with each mission being mostly the same thing...

I played it multiple ways. I missed nothing. Did all the alternative routes and such. I always try and beat games 100% before I put it down.
